Krav Maga is an Israeli self‑defence system developed to be instinctive, aggressive, and efficient—blending techniques from boxing, judo, karate, wrestling, aikido, and more Wikipedia. The focus is on simultaneous defence and counterattack, targeting vulnerable areas, and reacting effectively under stress—with no complex forms or flashy moves required.
Somerset Krav Maga was founded by Mark Edwards, a former Royal Marine who trained for years in Weston-super-Mare and transitioned into teaching after serving in personal protection roles. Since establishing the first club in Taunton, the school has expanded to Bridgwater and Wells (2021).
Our programmes are intentionally inclusive:
